Friday, May 1, 2026 – From Isolation to Belonging (Alive Together — Living Resurrection Every Day)

The Short of It

Resurrection doesn’t just make us alive—it brings us together.

Summary of the Week’s Readings

Acts 2:42–47 (Monday)
The early church models a shared life of devotion, generosity, and joy. Resurrection forms a community, not just individuals.

Psalm 23 (Tuesday)
The Good Shepherd leads, provides, and stays close. We are not alone—we are known and cared for.

1 Peter 2:19–25 (Wednesday)
Following Jesus shapes how we live with others. Community is formed through grace, endurance, and love.

John 10:1–10 (Thursday)
Jesus calls His sheep by name. True belonging begins with being known by Him.

Thread of Grace

You don’t have to live alone.

Not because life gets easier…
but because Jesus brings you into something deeper.

You are known.
You are called.
You are invited into a shared life.

Resurrection doesn’t just raise individuals—
it forms a people.

A Simple Practice to Carry Into the Weekend

Practice: Step Toward Someone

Choose one intentional step toward connection:

  • Reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while
  • Invite someone into a conversation or a meal
  • Be present and attentive in a relationship you already have

As you do, reflect:

  • Where have I been holding back from community?
  • What fear or habit keeps me isolated?
  • What small step can I take toward belonging?

Pray: “Jesus, help me move toward the life You created me for.”

Closing Prayer

Jesus,
Thank You that I am not meant to walk this life alone.

You know me,
You call me,
and You place me among others.

Forgive me for the ways I pull back or isolate.
Give me courage to move toward people,
to build relationships,
and to live in the community You are forming.

Help me live not just as an individual—
but as part of Your people.

Amen.
