Sunday, March 22, 2026 – God speaks hope into what we’ve given up on.
Where Are We Headed This Week?
We all carry places that feel finished.
Dreams that didn’t work out.
Relationships that broke down.
Prayers that seemed to go unanswered.
At some point, we quietly begin to accept the loss.
We stop expecting change.
We stop hoping for life.
We learn how to live around what feels dead.
But this week invites us to look again. Because the story of God does not end where we think it does.
What looks final to us…is often the very place where God begins.
A Deeper Look
Ezekiel stands in a valley full of dry bones—completely lifeless, beyond repair.
The psalmist cries out from the depths, waiting and hoping in the dark.
Paul reminds us that the Spirit of God brings life where death once ruled.
And in John’s Gospel, Jesus stands outside a tomb… and calls a man back to life.
This is not about avoiding loss. It is about what God does in the middle of it. God does not stand at a distance from what feels dead. He moves toward it.
Into the valley.
Into the grief.
Into the tomb.
And there, He speaks.
Biblical Texts This Week
Ezekiel 37:1–14
Psalm 130
Romans 8:6–11
John 11:1–45
Weekly Practices
1. Name What Feels Lost
Take time to honestly name something in your life that feels dead or beyond hope.
Don’t rush past it.
Let it be seen.
2. Practice Honest Prayer
Like the psalmist, bring your real emotions before God—without filtering or fixing them.
“Out of the depths I cry to You, Lord.”
3. Listen for God’s Voice
Spend a few quiet moments each day asking:
“God, what are You speaking into this place?”
Be attentive—not for quick answers, but for His presence.
Guided Prayer
Take a slow breath.
Bring to mind something that feels lost, heavy, or beyond repair.
“God… You see this.”
(brief silence)
“I have given up hope here.”
(brief silence)
“But You are the God who brings life.”
(brief silence)
“Speak into this place.”
(brief silence)
“I am listening.”
Rest quietly in His presence.
