The Long of It

The Scriptures this week carried us beyond the manger and into the days that follow:

• Isaiah reminded us that God’s compassion and mercy carry His people through every season.
• The psalmist invited all creation to keep praising, declaring that God’s glory still fills the world.
• Hebrews showed us a Savior who fully understands our weakness and walks with us in suffering.
• Matthew revealed a holy family navigating fear and displacement—yet never outside God’s care.

Together, these passages teach us that grace does not fade when celebrations end. God’s faithfulness is not seasonal. The same God who came near in Christ remains near in the ordinary, the painful, and the unknown.

The Sunday after Christmas invites us to trust a grace that stays with us. It remains with us not just in holy moments, but in everyday faithfulness.
