At Gateway Church, our 2026 sermon series will be developed using the Revised Common Lectionary. Each week, there will be four passages from the Bible. They will together provide us with a common theme: “Threads of Grace”.
Each text is a voice from the Old Testament, the Psalms, the Gospels, and the Epistles. At first glance, they seem like separate strands: different writers, different times, different contexts. When we look closely, we discover something beautiful. The threads of God’s grace or his word to us run through them all.
Each week, we’ll walk through the four texts together, listening for the echoes, connections, and themes they share. Some weeks, those connections will be clear and bold. Other weeks, they’ll be subtle and surprising. They will be like that blemish in the paint that no one sees until we see it. Suddenly, we cannot unsee it. Once it is noticed, it changes how we see the whole picture.
These weekly reflections will also connect with our Sunday sermon. They give you the chance to go deeper. After hearing Sunday’s message, you can go deeper and see the bigger story God is telling. Whether you read along daily or all at once, or just when you can. I hope that you’ll come away encouraged. I hope you feel challenged. May you be anchored in the grace that holds all of Scripture and our lives together.
Each Sunday morning, there will be a message developed from the week’s four passages. That evening, subscribers will receive an email. The email will include a post that outlines the week for them. Here is the schedule of posts you can expect…
